Nick Goffin MEng

Research Engineer, MTC

Nick Goffin obtained a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Loughborough University in 2011. In the same year, he commenced a PhD in "The Use of Holographic Optics for Heat Control in Laser Cladding and Component Fabrication" under the supervision of Prof. John Tyrer. 

He joined the SMART team in 2015 as a Research Associate, working on the laser annealing of thin film photovoltaic panels. During this time, he completed a PhD.

Nick is currently working as a Research Engineer at the Manufacturing Technology Centre in Conventry.
