Having previously worked as an Ensure programme student in the Centre for SMART during the summer of 2012, Felix officially joined the centre in 2013. His PhD looked at an area overlooked by many adults and that is “to improve the overall sustainability of the UK toy industry through the development of a framework for a decision support tool for reducing environmental impacts whilst upholding and cultivating the inherent values of toys.” Felix is now a Research Associate with the Centre for SMART looking a water efficiency in manufacturing.
Felix graduated with an MEng in Product Design Engineering from Loughborough University. During this time he also obtained industrial experience, as an engineering trainee, in a building contracting and as a market researcher for a Hong Kong based toy manufacturer.
